VET Cluster Summary

VET Coordinator Survey

This chart provides a list of all VCE VET programs and shows if a program offers Units 1 & 2, and/or Units 3 & 4. It also shows if a VCE VET Program can be undertaken as scored or non-scored.

  • SMRVC EOI – This form is used by students to express and interest in enrolling in a VET course.
  • SMRVC VET Student Travel Form – This form is to be completed and signed by all parties before the VET student travels to their Host school for VET classes.
  • SMRVC VET Students of Concern Form – This form is to be used when there is concern that a VET student may not be able to complete the required number of Units of Competence to successfully compete their VET course. The Host school VET Coordinator, in collaboration with the VET Teacher, will complete this form and send it electronically, (via email), to the Home school VET Coordinator of the VET student. It is the responsibility of the Home School VETY Coordinator to counsel the VET student and a Parent/Carer and to come up with an agreed set of actions which will support the VET student.
  • VET Funding FAQ’s – taken from NMVC website, will need to be reviewed and updated

VET programs in government schools are primarily funded through the core student learning component of the Student Resource Package, (SRP). To support the higher cost of provision in this area, government schools are also provided with targeted VET funding based on a 6-band model. Schools will also receive VET materials funding, based on a 2-band model and eligible schools will also receive the small-scale adjustment.

The SRP guide provides an estimate of the component of the SRP that should contribute to the provision of VET programs, as well as outlining how schools may use their targeted VET funding.

SRP budget Planner (SRP Portal) can be used by Victorian government schools to estimate VDSS funding for budget planning purposes.
